The latest franchise from Square Enix, developed by Cavia, Nier for the Xbox 360 and PS3 is an action role-playing game with a delicate balance of intricate story line, well-developed characters, action-packed battle sequences, and traditional RPG mechanics. 'Nier' is the name of the title's protagonist, who is resolute in finding a cure for his daughters mysterious illness, from the 'Black Scrawl' virus- desperate to overcome any challenge that comes up against him.
